Accident forces lanes to shut down on highway | News

A portion of I-240 was shut down Sunday night after troopers were called to an accident.

Officials say the crash occurred around 11:45 p.m. on I-240 and Bryant.

They say a vehicle hit an orange retaining barrel, which caused a lot of debris to scatter on the roadway.

Troopers closed the interstate at the Bryant exit while everything was cleared.

No word on if there were any injuries or why the car hit the barrel.
