OK House gets social | News

The Oklahoma House of Representatives is trying to be more social and will begin posting Twitter updates containing up-to-date information on what happens on the floor.

Tweets will be sent out with the bill number and links to information on the bill will be automatically posted in real time.

House Speaker Kris Steele said, "We’re always pursuing new ways to inform and involve the public in the business we’re conducting on their behalf. Our new automated Twitter updates will be a great step forward in the House’s ongoing efforts to make the legislative process more transparent and open to the public.”
