Residents evacuated in apartment fire
OKLAHOMA CITY — Fire crews rushed to the Tower Apartments near NW 9th and Robinson about 5:30 a.m. on a call about a fire in one of the units.
Nineteen residents were evacuated because of the smoke at the apartments located at 135 NW 9th Street in downtown Oklahoma City.
According to firefighters on the scene, a lit candle rolled under a couch and caught the couch on fire.
Crews extinguished the fire.
Residents were allowed back into their apartments about 7 a.m.
