OKLAHOMA CITY – The Okla. winner of a $2 million Powerball prize has claimed their winnings. 

Choctaw resident Doyle Henson claimed the winning Powerball ticket from the Jan. 16 drawing at Lottery headquarters last Friday.

Henson said he purchased the Powerball ticket for his birthday.

He successfully matched five of five white balls, which is a $1 million prize. 

He added the Power Play option for an extra dollar to increase his prize to $2 million.

The birthday boy said he plans to retire on the $1,420,000 he got after state and federal taxes.

He bought the winning ticket was purchased at OnCue Express located at 1 NW 23rd St. in Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma has had four Powerball jackpot winners and this prize payment to Henson is the 25 prize of $1 million or more from the Oklahoma Lottery.
