OKLAHOMA CITY-- If you are one of the millions of people who are planning to watch the Rose Parade on New Year's Day, you will probably get a glimpse of an Oklahoma family who is making the trip to California to honor the life of their daughter.

Megan Yeakley died at the age of 16-months-old but her family decided to turn their tragedy into someone else's blessing by donating Megan's organs.

Their gift affected the lives of five people and will now be showcased on the "Donate Life America" float in this year's parade.

The family says donating Megan's organs was an easy choice and it has helped them cope with their loss over the years.

Marilyn Yeakley, Megan's mother, said, "She donated to five people, saved four people's lives so that helped us to get through the trauma of losing our daughter by the fact that she was able to give the gift of life and save other people's lives."

The Yeakley's say they believe this trip to the Rose Parade is extra special for them.

This year's theme is "Oh the places you'll go," which is the first book they ever read to their daughter, Megan.
