Officer arrested for jeopardizing investigation | Crime

An Oklahoma City officer has been arrested for a misdemeanor charge.

Authorities say Sgt. Christina Cervantes turned herself into to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office on Friday, February 17, 2012.

Cervantes came under investigation for allegedly releasing information that jeopardized an ongoing narcotics investigation.

The Oklahoma City Police Department's Professional Standards Unit submitted charges to the district attorney's office late last year.

An internal investigation is currently being conducted.
